“It has been such a wonderful experience to find Maria at Save the Bees Flower Co! She is a helpful flower farmer and great resource here in Utah! As someone who is new to this, I appreciate her positive perspective and determination to her flower farms, and for teaching others what works here! Last summer, I purchased her blooms and the bouquets are always stunning, colorful, and unique- so many pretty varieties that can’t be found in stores! She teaches great workshops where you can learn how to start your own flower farm! I recommend her in a heartbeat!”

“I was so excited to go to Save the Bees Soil Blocking Workshop and Maria did not disappoint! It was so informative and inspiring and Maria has the concept “dialed in”. Can’t wait to use the knowledge she shared to start creating beautiful blooms for my own home. Her bouquets are stunning! “

Soil Blocking for Cut Flower Gardens: SOLD OUT!
Have you ever wanted to grow your own cut flower garden? Did you know 80 percent of cut flowers will need to be started indoors and then transplanted to the garden? As a result, mastering seed-starting is vital to growing a cut flower garden. Unfortunately, seed-starting comes with a large learning curve and many people struggle to start seeds with success. In this class, I will be sharing all my tips and tricks so you can skip the frustrating learning curve and have transplants ready for planting this spring! I’ve found soil blocking to be the most effective way to grow seedlings indoors, so that will be our focus. We will cover seed-starting schedules, selecting varieties and basic soil management. Half the class will be instruction and half will be hands-on (we will also be soil blocking together). This class is for beginners.
